Self Protection
Our training focuses on defence against common attacks used in the street. Wild swings, grabs, and pushes are common in real fights, and we teach how to handle them effectively. This includes protecting yourself at close range, escaping grabs, and staying balanced when someone is pushing or pulling you. Although using patterns from traditional Karate, our emphasis is on practical application.
Step-by-Step Understanding
Partner work is where techniques become clear. We break down each movement in a controlled way so students can see what they are meant to do. This includes learning how to escape grabs, control limbs, strike safely, and unbalance an opponent. Partner work is structured, cooperative, and focused on understanding — not pressure or speed.
What Makes Karate Work
Rather than memorising long lists of moves, we focus on the principles that make movement effective: posture, structure, timing, distance, and efficient power. When students understand these principles, they can adapt to any situation, regardless of size or strength differences. Principles make Karate-jutsu practical and reliable.
